Villa T awarded by Confindustria Ceramica, Edi.Cer. and Ceramics of Italy
The 10 years of the competition “La Ceramica e il Progetto”:
Villa T by Ardielli Fornasa Associati is the winning project in the residential category.
The 10th edition of La Ceramica e il Progetto, the architectural competition that rewards the best architectural projects with Italian ceramic tiles, open to architects and interior designers resident in Italy, has come to an end. The Jury – composed of Mario Cucinella and Fulvio Irace – examined the over 60 entries received, based on the creativity, functionality and aesthetic appeal of the projects.
In the Residential category, the winner was the project “Villa T” in Peschiera del Garda (VR), created by the Ardielli Fornasa Associati studio, using Ceramica Sant’Agostino tiles. A sort of manifesto of living, respecting the territory, for which the materials are the expression of a building tradition of the past revised in a contemporary key. The simple shape with a pitched roof, the facing brickwork and above all the use of ceramics in the internal and external coverings are the elements that characterize the building. In particular, moreover, the brick of the company Terreal Italia used in the facade best expresses the concept of sustainability of the entire construction.
The awarding of the projects will take place during a digital event Ceramics of Italy / La Ceramica e il Progetto, currently being defined and scheduled in the coming weeks.
