MARCIANA LIBRARY OF VENICE: FRA’ MAURO’S PRECIOUS MAP RETURNED TO THE PUBLIC
Five new rooms in the Marciana Library in Venice were opened to the public on March 19 with an inaugural event presided over by the authorities. The Marciana Library new exhibition space unveils the restoration of the prestigious maps by Fra’ Mauro and Haji Ahmed.
Marco Ardielli as advisor of the Saudi Ministry of Culture has contributed to the enhancement of these works with the support of the Association “Amici della Marciana” and the “Ba’a Foundation” (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
